Howling Sacrifices by J.K. Coi

What happens to a young and naive Canadian woman traveling alone on a particularly evil night in the Scottish Highlands? She'll get a lot more than she bargained for when she wishes for an adventure and finds herself part of a bloody pagan ritual . . . and inexorably linked to a wild and dangerous wolf.

Goodreads

I received this e-book from the wonderful folks at Ellora's Cave in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a short one, but full of action and sensuality. When a young Canadian woman takes a vacation in the wilds of Scotland, she has no idea that she will fall victim to a band of witches with murder on their mind. Human sacrifice is not one of those top ten things you list for things to do on a vacation. Meeting a werewolf is though!

Our werewolf hero in this story is a brooding fellow, but the longer Lucy sits in the carriage with her fellow passenger, the more she has to fight the urge to fantasize about him in the most wicked ways. This book was perfect! It had build up and when the climax part of the plot hit (hah, I know what you are thinking!) I was on the edge of my seat, turning pages like they were on fire. This book is dark, dangerous and it grabbed me from page one. Who wouldn't want to go to Scotland and meet up with a werewolf? *raises hand and waves it incessantly!*

Plot points:
werewolves, erotica, short novel, Scotland, Satanic witches, hot sex, paranormal, m/f.

This book is a paranormal fantasy and I loved the way it flowed. Great characters, dialogue that was believable, action that flowed, sex scenes that melted me like butter and left me wanting to read more from this author. A great summer read!

5/5

You can find out more about the author on her webpage.

I will definitely reading more from Ellora's Cave.
