The metal tips of her stiletto shoes clicked against the black and white chequer board floor tiles; each step instinctively, without thought or effort, alternating between black and white. As she made her stately progress across the tiled floor she mused on the aptness of the symbolism that reflected the extremities of the world she inhabited and held sway over: darkness and light, cruelty and kindness, pain and pleasure, humiliation and reward. She commanded over her domain like a chess master playing a twisted and beautifully imagined chess game in which she, the Red Queen with a black heart, orchestrated proceedings and her slaves were pawns. She stood before her gothic mirror and admired her image reflected within its black cast iron frame. The Queen of Hearts was ready.
“How do I look Duchess?” she asked, turning to her transvestite companion and lady in waiting.
“I’m speechless, madam, really I am. You look absolutely stunning, a true fetish red queen,” she answered.
She examined her image in the mirror carefully appraising every detail of her dress and make-up to ensure it met her exacting standards. She held her body upright and smoothed the shiny metallic red pvc panel of the ankle-length skirt, straightened her ruby encrusted tiara and made a final adjustment to the black heart-shaped choker around her neck. Yes, she thought, she looked perfect.
She turned and stepped off the black and white floor tiles taking a few steps to face one of the male slaves who served in her realm. His wrists were secured with leather cuffs, which had a rope attached to them and threaded through a metal ring fixed into the ceiling pulled tight so that his arms were stretched out. His ankles were similarly bound in leather cuffs and secured to rings set in the floor, his legs stretched just wide enough to cause discomfort but for the soles of his feet to lie flat on the black carpeted floor.
Hanging from him his balls was a large cast iron ball weight forged into the letter ‘N’. ‘N’ for Nemesis, the Queen of Hearts smiled to herself, the name taken from the Greek goddess of fate and retribution and one of the personas she adopted in the fetish fantasy realm she had created and ruled over. She lifted the weight up and traced her finger along the letter and then let it drop heavily. The blindfolded man gasped as the velocity of the falling weight stretched his balls. The Red Queen merely laughed sadistically at his predicament. She gestured to the Duchess who, silently and secretly, stood behind her helpless victim and lifted the blindfold from his eyes to reveal the vision of his mistress transformed into the Queen of Hearts.
The cruel piercing blue eyes, framed in ruby streaked ebony hair, met her victim’s as the blindfold was removed permitting him to feast his eyes on her. He gasped and then moaned in homage at the formidable and ravishing presence before him. She stood there, her heaving cleavage held tight in a shiny electric red pvc bodice festooned with black hearts and framed with a ruff in gold. This is the part I love, she mused. The look in their eyes when she reveals herself; that look of mesmerised devotion mixed with fear, fear of the unknown, fear of the seductive torment they know she is capable of inflicting on them.

Interview questions:
How
did you start writing erotica?
Hmm,
well, this is an interesting one.
Basically, I served an especially creative and imaginative dungeon
mistress for a number of years. I wanted to contribute to the creativity of her
sessions and thought story-telling was a way of doing that. This naturally led to writing and, even
though I hadn’t done any creative writing since school days (many years ago!),
I loved doing it and was pleased with the results. Sometimes the stories would
get woven into the real-time dungeon sessions to create these wonderful story
cycles. I started by offering stories to
the Literotica free story site and then to publishers in late 2010. Since then
I’ve had work published by Xcite Books and House of Erotica. ‘Adventures in Fetishland’ is my first full
length erotic novel.
So come on, tell us, how much of ‘’Adventures in
Fetishland’ is based on experience and how much is fantasy?
Aaah,
that would be telling wouldn’t it? I’ll
leave the reader to decide where they think the line is between fantasy and
reality! All writers use some
combination of experience, imagination and research and ‘Fetishland’ is no
different. There are some scenes that stand
out as being fantastical of course but, beyond
that, I’m really not going to let on how much of what’s in the book is
first-hand!
Where
did you get the inspiration for ‘Adventures in Fetishland’ from?
Well I’m not going to hide the fact that an
important strand of the book is homage to the special person who inspired me to
write and the dungeon world she created.
It goes without saying that the ‘Alice’ books and the characters in them
were an inspiration. The book openly
uses characters like the white rabbit and Tweedledum and Tweedledee whilst the
Cheshire cat becomes the black cat and there is a purple caterpillar. I also drew some inspiration from an ‘Alice’
themed fetish ball and a costume made for it by Cathouse Clothing, a local latex/pvc
clothes maker. In fact it was this event
that sparked the idea of a book that re-invented the ‘Alice’ stories in a bdsm/fetish
way in the first place.
Tell
us about some of your other work?
Most of my work is in the BDSM genre and mainly
contains awesome dominatrix characters, like the Red Queen! I also write in historical or paranormal
settings. I have a history degree and that gives me the research skills and
confidence to put my stories in historical settings. My latest release is called ‘The Pagan
Sorceress’. It’s partly set in the Anglo-Saxon period and is a valiant attempt
to mix the heroic saga ‘Beowulf’ with erotica.

story, ‘One Scoop or Two?’ selected for the recent ‘Smut by the Sea’ anthology
edited by Lucy Felthouse and Victoria Blisse because I consciously set out to
try and meet the 'seaside fun’ criteria for the book.
The Fifty
Shades of Grey phenomenon – a good or bad thing for writers of erotica?
I haven’t read it and have no real desire to, though
I have read a lot about what other authors think of it. For me - a bad thing. I know you can say it will increase the audience
for erotica but what’s going to happen, and you can see this already, is
everybody will jump on the bandwagon. The
big publishers will produce a load of copy-cat books because they think they’ll
sell and some of the best and edgier bdsm writing will get squeezed out in the
rush to be the next ‘Fifty Shades’. Nah,
I’d rather follow my own muse and not be part of that.
Do
you read a lot of erotica?
Not a lot to be honest. In between full time work,
writing when I can and then trying to promote what I’ve written I don’t get
that much time. Also, I kind of prefer not
to be influenced too much. There’s only
a handful of full length books I’ve read, mainly other Xcite authors including
work by Kay Jaybee and K D Grace. I
recently read Janine Ashbless’s ‘Named and Shamed’ and that is a wonderfully
filthy fairy tale. I’ve also read a
couple of erotic steam punk anthologies because that’s a theme I want to pick
up on with my next book when I get time to work on it.
Any
helpful writing tips you’ve ever been given about writing you have to pass on
to other authors?
I picked up the expression, ‘mothering your
children’ from a short story writing workshop I went to. What was meant here
was being tough on your own writing and being able to cut stuff out, even when
you think it’s good writing and you’ve sweated blood over it! Taking that tip
on board has enabled me to be quite ruthless about editing longer stories down
to a short story submission length.
What
music do you listen to when you’re writing?
I’m a Deadhead.
No that doesn’t mean I’ve lost all my brain cells though sometimes it
feels like that! It means I’m a fan of
the 60’s San Francisco band, The Grateful Dead, famed for their long drug
fuelled jams. So, when I’m writing I’ll
most likely be listening to ‘jam’ of the week on the Grateful Dead website. I also like a lot of English folk music and
world music.
Story
Extract
Once every inch of material had been touched
by Kim’s lips the voluptuous rear of the purple caterpillar turned away and Kim
was once again on her knees, facing her, looking up into the hauntingly
beautiful features and dazzling blue eyes.
The caterpillar was now nestling a flogger in her hands. It was black
with a horse’s head at one end and had a spade shaped patch of leather at the
other. The horse’s head was offered to
Kim and she kissed it. The commands were
wordless because no words were needed. The
end with the leather flogger was presented to Kim and she kissed that too. Kim knew what was going to happen next but
she would not dare have called for the purple caterpillar to stop, had no
desire for her to stop. Kim just wanted
to offer herself. The black leather
flogger was run gently across Kim’s cheek, over her shoulders and across her
tits that were now throbbing with desire and need. The smell and the touch of the leather and
the sense of anticipation were overpowering.
Do it, thought Kim. Please,
strike me. Please let me feel it. She wanted it, she needed, it more than
anything else she had desired in her life.
Finally, after an agonising wait, the flogger
whipped down onto her breasts. Kim
gasped and moaned. It was painful, of
course it was painful, but it was like no other pain she had experienced
before. It was mingled with a surge of erotic pleasure that crashed through her
brain right down to her cunt. Each
stroke was like a tsunami of sensation and emotion. Kim had always been curious about what went
on in the head of her clients who had asked to be dominated, what need it
fulfilled in them and now, in this bizarre place, at the hands of this powerful
dominatrix, she understood.
The purple caterpillar took up a position
behind Kim and with a firm hand on the nape of her neck pushed her down so that
she was on all fours. She knelt over
Kim, strands of her fragrant black hair caressing her back. Kim breathed in her scent, sweet and exotic.
She nestled her back side onto the small of Kim’s back as if she was being
ridden like a horse and she felt the chilly stiffness of the pvc on her
skin.
“Do you want it Kim?” she whispered in her
ear.
“Yes,” Kim gasped.
“Do you really want it?”
“Yes, please, yes,” Kim pleaded.
The flogger snapped smartly on her arse……
Well, if that wasn't inspiration enough, I just don't know. This book grabbed my attention from the first page and had me staying up late in the night to read more. Not to mention reading while I should have been working on my own submissions for next week. Uber hot book! Whew!
Alice's adventures in Wonderland is the premise of this story. Wild and fierce, this fetish fairy tale has a myriad of things that work for it. Nemesisland is a place where complete submission reigns and the Red Queen makes all the rules. Fetish, fantasy, extreme eroticism and dark desires rule, making this a read you will never forget.
All of the characters you have met in Wonderland are here in Nemesisland, but with a little added something that will make you squirm in your seat. It is intensely erotic and will grab you by the hair and not let go. In particular, Slave Nano has a grasp on the physical sensations and his descriptions make the characters practically breathe. You can feel Kim's desire for the flogger as you grip your e-reader with bated breath. I think I chewed on my iPad cover on that one.
Slave Nano has crafted a story that is lush with imagery and had me reaching with trembling hand for ice water on more than one occasion. It will put you through the paces as a reader and take you on a journey of fetish and fantasy like no other you have experienced. It is intense, dark, energetic and oh so much fun.
