Mythology has been a part of my writing career for as long as I can remember. The idea of Gods and monsters being as real as we are and not just the dusty meanderings in a book electrified me then and still does now.

As far as myths, I love to write about the Persephone and Hades. There is just so much wiggle room with that one. Same goes with Medusa. Cause even chicks with snakes in their hair need love too. But for me, if I had to pick one favorite, one creature that I just keep coming back to over and over again, it all goes back to shapeshifters, more specifically wolves.

Loup-garou. Werewolf. Whatever you call him, he is wild and runs beneath the wide night sky with the moon whispering in his ear. He is Alpha. Primal. He knows his mate by scent and will claim her at any price. And sometimes, like the hero in my story, Taming the Beast, he is willing to sacrifice himself to save the ones he holds dear.

A little-known fact about me. Growing up, the monsters were my friends. My bedroom was laden with near life-size cutouts of Dracula and his bride. I had a Fright Night poster on my door. And this was year round. Vampires. Hunky wolf men. Bring it on.

As an adult, my upstairs office is decked out in monsters much like it was then. The collection of old fashioned monster busts, Dracula’s castle that lights up. Stitched projects with broomsticks and Halloween candy corn. What can I say? Monsters and mythical creatures bring the shadows to life and bring some light into the mundane world.

I hope you will enjoy all of our stories in the Creatures box set.

Happy reading.

Allyse Montlake needs a job and quick. But what can a curvy girl with a penchant for plant magic do in the current job market? It’s just not the kind of thing that most people put on applications these days. To help her mother with medical expenses, she has to get something that pays more than her bookstore job.

When she goes with her friend Cara to a job fair, she has no idea she’s just applied for a position on Extreme Bachelor—in front of the camera and not behind the scenes as she intended. When she meets the man behind the mystique, can he love her for who she is and see the beauty behind the curves?

Soren Rochester is a werewolf and the owner of Barks, one of America’s most successful pet store chains. He also happens to be fighting a curse from one pissed off witch, and he’s running short on time to find a mate or else. When his assistant suggests a reality television show, he reluctantly agrees. Can this beast find true love amidst the glittering dresses of the contestants, or will he find her only to lose her in a field of thorns?
